192.168.1.1

This block is reserved for private networks such as homes, offices and data centres. Routers hand out addresses from it to local devices, and they are never routed on the public internet, so a private IP has no public location or ISP. Thousands of networks reuse the same private addresses behind NAT.

How to log in to your router at 192.168.1.1

192.168.1.1 is one of the most common default gateway addresses, the address a router uses on its own local network. If it's your router's address, you can open the admin panel from any device connected to it.

   Connect to the router's Wi-Fi network, or plug in with an Ethernet cable.

   Open a browser and go to http://192.168.1.1

   Sign in with the admin username and password printed on the router's label.

   Change the default admin password once you're in, to keep your network secure.
